The philosophy of the BSc International Relations programme is to produce graduate students who are well imparted with theoretical and practical knowledge in International Relations to adequately contribute to the overall development of Nigeria and be men and women of demonstrable competence and excellence as active players in the global economy and politics.

The aim of the International Relations degree programme is to stimulate in students an appreciation of International Relations theories and other tools of analysis, and their application in different contexts at the national and international levels. ADMISSION AND GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DEGREE PROGRAMME
Admissions through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
Candidates who wish to study International Relations must have obtained five Credit Passes in WASC/SSCE/NECO or GCE (O/L) which must include Mathematics and English Language plus Credit pass in either Government or History and Social Science subjects or the equivalent or at least five Merit Passes in TCII in not more than two sittings. Also required is an acceptable pass in UTME.
Candidates for Direct entry admission shall possess five Credit passes in the WASC/ SSCE/NECO/GCE or equivalents of which at least two shall be at Advanced Level or four Credit passes of which three shall be at Advanced Level provided such credits are not counted at both levels of the examinations. Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any of Government or History is compulsory.
